Sept. 24 Newsletter: The Congregational Survey Arrives THIS THURSDAY!

The Congregational Survey Arrives THIS THURSDAY!

The Ministerial Search Committee (MSC) is grateful to all who participated in Listening Sessions over the past 3 weeks. A summary of what we heard will soon follow.

Now it's on to the next step. On Thursday, September 26, members and friends of the Church will receive an email from the Church office with an introduction and a direct link to the Congregational Survey. Created by your MSC, this Survey will ask for your opinions and preferences related to our ministerial search.  The Survey will be available via the online tool "Survey Monkey," which will enable us to collect, summarize, and graph your responses. For those unable to access a computer, paper versions of the survey will be available at the Church office.

The data and comments you give us in the Survey will be used to write both the profile of our Church and the profile of our ideal next Minister - all of which will be read by potential ministerial applicants across the country. In addition to the demographic information that they seek, you'll be asked such things as "What aspects of our current Sunday worship service are important to you?" "What's the worst early mistake our new Minister could make?" "How would you define good preaching?"

The survey will be available for twelve days: from Thursday, Sept. 26, until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 7. Full participation by the congregation enhances our ability to find our best candidate! Thank you in advance for taking the Survey.
