Listening Sessions Are Underway!
At noon on In-Gathering Sunday, more than 50 parishioners came together in the Chapel for our first Listening Session. Parishioners responded to difficult questions, speaking movingly about what we value in our church and how we define spiritual leadership. All shared thoughts on the essence of this church, its significance for individuals and the community,and how a new leader might best advance our spiritual journeys.
The MSC will continue its series of Listening Sessions on the next two weekends. A Session will be held at Ferry Beach on Saturday, September 14th. On Sunday, September 15th, two Sessions will be held in the Chapel at the Church, one at 9:00 a.m. and the second at 12 noon. Two Sessions will also be held on the following Sunday (Sept. 22nd).
Based on feedback the Committee received at the first Listening Session, we will be asking new questions each Sunday, so please plan to attend either the 9:00 a.m. or the 12 noon Session.
Everyone's voice matters, so please join in. If you came to the first Session, you are welcome to attend again, to respond to new questions, to hear new voices, and to continue the conversation. The youth of the Church are also welcome.
